The only brand of slime you want to put in a street bike is called "Ride On". google it, it will not harm your rims and actually balences your tires plus it will stop small punctures, nails etc, good stuff!
Or carry a "CO/2 inflater kit" and tire plugs, the strips not the mushrooms kind! The CO/2 kits are very small and work great to inflate a tire!

robin it should be just fine. I don't have the Slime brand. but another el-cheapo brand from walmart for $10 and it works decently enough for carry on the bike. (campbell-hausfield i think) you are talking about a dc electric unit right? I had another compact compressor butr let it run too long and it burned up. now I don't let them run longer than 5 minutes with out some cool down time. Ken

I have two of the Slime brand compressors. They work fine. I would not count on one to do heavy duty daily use, but for the occasional flat, it is what I carry.

robin I bought one last week. I'm preparing for a cross country trip. Tried it on one of my Jeep tires, worked well. Small in size it will not take much space.

It's in the garage. The receipt calls it the Slime 10 Minutes Tire Inflator. #352628, $14.95. The end of the hose locks on the valve stem so it you don't have to lay down and hold it on the stem. I counted 3 minutes and checked the pressure to get an idea of its progress. Tire size and pressure in the tire would make a difference. They say it's 300 PSI. I like mine. Had a 85 Goldwing with an on-board pump that saved me a couple of times

They say it's 300 PSI. The wife and I both work in the air compressor industry: http://www.quincycompressor.com/These small tire inflators will not achieve 300 psi. I bought the largest slime inflator, supposed to do 4X4 and suv tires in three minutes. Haven't used it yet.

Robin on most of the compact compressors you can remove the plastic housing from them for even more space saving Ken
