I've Known Dave for a few Years, Dave is a Vietnam Vet, a past Wisconsin Senater I believe 17 years, He has done a huge amount for his brothers in arms, and for the people of Wi., Dave has also done a lot for motorcycling. Dave is the only person to achieve 1 million miles on one bike. His bike is on display in the museum in Sturgis SD. I learned a couple days ago about his accident at bike week & today it is confirmed they had to remove his left leg above the knee. As always he was not wearing a helmet. A sob without a licence in a suv switched lanes, lost controll, & flipped over. Approx 6:30 Am Dave sees the undercarrage & tried to avoid the suv.  It won't be long and Dave will be back on a bike, and as a rummor someone has sent him a Spider. If so, I dont think Dave would axcept it as being an HD man I Think it would have to be HD tryke with an electric shift. Bike week sure seems to be taking it's toll on bkkers.
