Ride Like a Pro - Training DVD

I saw this referenced in another post and went to the site to see what it's all about. Ordered it. I've been riding since I was 14... which is a wayyy lot of years ago! I figure I might get some really good information from this and that it's probably well worth $30. bucks.

Thanks to FryeVRCCDS0067 for the tip. I've never heard of the product before and thought it might be good to have a dedicated post about it with a link so more riders might see it.

All the normal disclaimers apply. I have no affiliation of any kind with the sellers of the dvd program.

I got one from the PO with my Valk when I bought it, I think it is great, I don't care how many years a person has been riding, 95% will get something from it.

In fact I am waiting to get mine back from the person I lent it to (HINT = HINT) so I can watch it again before the season starts up here in the frozen tundra.

Practice Jerry's techniques until they are incorporated into your own style and you will be the best rider you know.  Particularly helpful for Valk riders and at low speeds.

Judging by the list of bikes in your signature, you don't need an excuse to buy another one!

I have taught more than a few ladies who were learning to ride at their husband's prompting so hubby could justify buying a new bike for himself (she gets the old one).  It seldom works our well when someone doesn't have their own internal motivation to learn, especially if they are old enough to be a grandparent.  A new rider tends to suffer information overload just trying to "ride like a beginner", let alone trying to absorb what it takes to "ride like a pro".  Buy the DVD for yourself and consider it icing if she's interested in seeing it after she's licenced.

I've watched one of the Ride like a pro DVD's and thought it was great.  I learned alot and it made me a better rider.

I believe it was Curleywolf who gave me the video.  At the time I thought it was silly, and I certainly didn't need to waste my time watching such nonsense.  Boy was I wrong.  You won't realize how bad a rider you are until you try some of the practice drills they show in the video.  But with a little practice, it becomes second nature.

I did find the entire series at Goodwill so I bought them all. I was busy at the time and loaned them out. I haven't seen them since. I keep hearing good things. I should get them back and watch them sometime.
