Catonsville, MD Patriot Guard Rider VRCC#28566

« on: March 16, 2011, 05:17:25 PM »

I participated in this ceremony yesterday with about 200 other Patriot Guard Riders.   cooldude cooldude
I was the only Valk rider in attendance.  Some riders were from as far away as North Carolina and Ohio   cooldude  Was a really neat experience, as most of the Arlington National Cemetery missions are .  A lot of secret service doing security, I guess both the Pres & VP were there, saw the motorcade but couldn’t tell who was inside.  I think all the chiefs of staff were there along with the secretary of the army, he actually came over and thanked us for attending.  Some members of his family also thanked us for coming.  Here’s a link to an article about the funeral, and also one about this 107th birthday when the PGR attended.

Scroll down the page on the PGR website to see the photos, also a link to his website, pretty amazing guy.

One of the best half days off from work I’ve had in a long time.  I felt proud and honored to show my respect for this hero.

Ride Safe everyone.
