Looks like an in-line 6 to me.

That's one hell of an intricate head design to end up with a V6 looking like an inline six..and I'd bet one nasty sun of a gun to work on..

We wish them well, because the bike, and in particular the engine, is fascinating stuff. At the center is what looks like a scaled-down 2800cc Volkswagen VR6 engine, a “semi-inline” Six with cylinders set at a very narrow 15-degree Vee.

Makes you wonder what qualifies as a "V" design!  VW even has a "W" design.  This engine looks like half of it!
