So, you think you have weird weather, eh? I’ve seen a ½ foot of snow dumped on the other side of the river in our valley, a ¼ mile away, while the sun was shining on our house. Yesterday, my bride and I had our coffee outside for the second day in a row. It was 67 degrees. We sat next to a 4 foot snowdrift. Only on the North Coast my friends! (Though the Florida Gulf Coast compares well on the ‘weird’ scale because you can set your watch to an afternoon rain shower that last about 10 minutes everyday! LOL)

We've had similar weather in the St. Louis area. A few weeks ago we were able to ride to a local watering hole and sit comfortably outside in T-shirts with 2 foot snow/ice piles everywhere.
Earlier this week we had a snow and sleet storm that left 4-5 inches of slop on the roads, and yesterday it was 83.
Some days we run the furnace in the morning, and the A/C in the afternoon.
I'm sure we're not the only ones that say this phrase: If you don't like the weather in St. Louis, wait a few minutes, and it will change!

RudyF6,
I'd like to personally invite you to our next ABATE Reg.14 meeting on the first monday of every month at the "Zuckey Lake Tavern" @ 7:00pm in the Lakeland/Hamburg area. A bunch of us are Valk riders and VRCC members as well.
We believe that the better educated rider you are,...the better motorcycle rider you will become.

I rode on a few of the ABATE ‘no helmet’ Rally’s to Lansing . . . Hooked up in Portland with the Muskegon & Grand Rapids crew as they passed through. Most of the bikers weren’t wearing their helmets as a protest (?) I have no idea what the ‘official’ ABATE stance was as far breaking the law to “protest,” but we choose to wear ours.
For the record, IMO, forcing citizens to wear helmets – or seatbelts for that matter – is the epitome of the Socialist ‘Nanny State’ take over by big brother. After all; the liberals controlling government are smarter and simply know better . . .
(Bobbo, this is where you use your ‘Google’ super powers and show how helmets and seatbelts save lives and tax payer money! Of course, eating nothing but green leafy stuff and driving an electric car probably does too, but who wants to live like that? Lost you there, didn’t I? Sorry. Peace)

It's quite telling how you choose to take outside jabs at me and avoid a direct debate. I guess that's what you have to do when confronted with a rebuttal backed by verifiable links.

The fact that a link is "verifiable" means absolutely nothing. I can post lists of links that are completely "verifiable" (they exist, they work and they don't contain bugs, virii or anything else bad for you), but their content is pure and utter, unadulterated crap, having no basis whatsoever in fact, and, often, no basis in reality, either! http://theflatearthsociety.org/cms/(for example) Just because one or more people believe the contents of the link, does not lower the "crap" level one iota.

My post obviously meant that the information contained in the link was verifiable, not that it was an unbroken link. I agree that anyone can find a web page to back up an opinion, but I link to the actual government or historical website when available.
