Hey Tony, my guess is that some are not sure they want to go back to the same venue. Then there's that "economy thing" still goin' on.

I would like to see us over 200 already.

I can't imagine that very many people who were there in 2010 would not want to return.  I imagine there were some who weren't able to attend in 2010 who will be pleased for a second chance.

It is still four months out and it's likely that there are a lot of members who are unwilling to commit their funds that far into the future.

As to returning to the same venue, we need somewhere in the vicinity of 350 - 400 to be certain there will be a venue at all in 2012.  I'm expecting to reach that goal, but it may not be until we get closer to the date.

See you there.  I'm going to have a good time.

Maybe we need T.P. to promote the event some more and for some or one of our older members to not dissuade him from doing so.   Wink

I was going to go but I've decided to attend summer semester at my Community College to knock out the last 4 courses, Anatomy & Physiology 2, English Comp 2, Sociology and a computer course, I'm going to need to graduate from the nursing program.  I should start the nursing program in the fall and would rather take a fluff course along with the nursing program instead of some serious courses that will distract me.  Also, the cost kind of put me off.  My vacation this year will be Cheaha.  I've got about a month between the end of Spring Semester and the beginning of Summer Semester.

In between looking to buy a house. moving,  and trying to figure out how to make the 'Strom more comfortable for me, I still intend to go .   I'm intending on being the oldest VRCC member rider there even if i have to trailer and I'm not eligible for the Valk rider award.    It's something that I want to do.

Even if that don't happen, I would hope that the VRCC breaks the record for attendance.

Like I said long time ago, IF I get off this firkin 40' leash, I'll be there.  I won't be in line for any prizes as I'll be on the Chevy Trike.

So say a few words to da man upstairs to help get me off this line.

I think that the same venue back to back may hurt. If I had gone last year I wouldn't consider going this year as when I travel like to go too different places. This year might work out for me but it is still a long ride for me 1578 miles one way.

I wanted to finally make it this year, was working out trying to plan it into a stop on my Alaska trip, but alas..... I think I've got a very valid excuse to not make it this year at least!  2funny

I made it last year and had a blast.  Over 1900 miles one way for me and I am definitely headed back for more of that beautiful country.

Okay, we can stop debating why we haven't cleared the 200 milestone and start talking about why we've still not reached 300 with only four months to go.   Grin

We're pretty well on schedule.   cooldude

Momz and Damsely will be at the rally, although we haven't registered yet.

I am going to do a "Fuel Mileage Challenge Ride". This is no geezer ride, but a sporting tour through some of the best roads in that area.

I hope this will bring some members just to see what I'm talking about. (Not necessarily a sanctioned VRCC event, but everyone's welcome.)

I plan on going if I dont have a job assignment during that time.  I will be a late entry.  If I have a job assignment I gotta do that (construction business).  I was off for more that 2 years with the economy and heart problems that took a while to get well enough to live a "normal" life.  I have been looking forward to an Inzane for a long time.  Its close and last year sounded like a Great Time for everyone.

I dont think location has anything to do with it. Rallies have been held at the same locations for over 70 years. If you got a good spot, lots of riding, and events that folks like, they will return. Then again this is coming from someone who has never attended one.  Cry

RJ, our friend Tom Frost(Sealskinner) here in Fla. that recently passed away was on the bottle full time and rode all over. He'd just strap on a nose canula from the bottle he carried on his luggage rack and off he went. If it was a cross country trip he'd pack a few extras.

I'm registered and ready for the return. We did not even make a dent in the places to go, roads to ride, and things to see! Beautiful country, great people, and good food it don't get much better! Planning a different route up this year and back, decided ditches may not be the best route available!! This will be my third InZane and I was ready for it when we left last year. If it was bare desert I would go back, cause it's the people I have met and the friends that I have made that make it so worth while. Our staff and the Michigan Riders did an outstanding job putting this together last year and I have no doubt it will be even better this year with some of the bugs worked out!! Sign up folks I don't think you will regret it.
