Some guys have changed exhaust on their Valkyries and may have stock units laying around. I am looking for some chrome muffler covers for a 2000 Valkyrie Interstate. The previous owner hardly drove the bike, carbs got clogged up, and there is some gold/blueing  on the muffler covers. Thanks...

Hokey Dokey:
1.    copy the link of your picture, it MUST be on the internet, can't do it if on your computer.
2.    Paste this link in the box, message box, like right here.
3.    Highlight the link
4,    Look up in the upper part of this message.
5.    See the square box with a big BOLD 'B' in it?
6.    Drop down one layer to that box, click it.
7.    Now POST it..

Presto, ya got a picture.

Most that want new tips, use 18" truck stacks from Air Flow (4" diameter).  I have two bikes with the straight cuts which I like best... turnouts hit things.

However, you can also get a full length truck stacks to essentially replace the OE muffler cans from front to rear, including the tips (and here I don't know the proper length).  However, the new cans have to be cut on the inside to allow the stock mounts to work (again I have no details other than to use the OE's as a pattern).  I think a pair of these can be had cheaper than a good set of used complete pipes (it is highly unlikely you will find just the OE outside cans for sale anywhere).  And clearly the Air flow truck stacks are heavier and better quality than the OE cans.

Like these.  http://store.airflo.com/af40-438hs.html

See:  http://www.timskelton.com/valkyrie/how_to/stacks.htm

I think some of the guys who have built/welded their own complete glass pac exhaust have used these and can provide more detail.
