Just put on my ultimate seat king bigboy and started to mount my tsukayu strong bag  but finding out I need to have bags space out so lid will clear my seat!! lid opens forward. Really do not want bags out so far. Maybe should of bit bullet and got interstate bags.  Any one else find this problem or any other solutions?

Thanks Garry

The tsukayu strong bag lids on my STD with Ultimate seats touch when I open the lids, I just pull the lid out side ways a little when I close them, have not had a problem or a mark on the seat  in the three years I've had them. Lids are flexible enough to clear mine. For the money, I like them alot!

Not only do you need to space them out for the seat but ALSO the brake caliper and the rear drive unit when the suspension is doing it's thing .... I have the "Strong Bags" and a Mustang seat.  Keep in mind cornering clearance !! (last pic)

I also added a 1/4" aluminum backing plate for support

Thanks for the info and pictures will try the aluminum plate. I had this idea before to fill in gap between bike and saddle bag and see that the new kawaski 1700 vaquero (sweet bike) has it on it.  Might play around with that still.

Thanks Garry
