Me on my new to me Valkyrie, and my younger brother on his new to him Vulcan 900 on Talimena Dr. My brother's been wanting a bike for a long time, and this trip has been a long time in the making. This was the first of many trips I hope we'll get to make together.

The Valkyrie is a great bike. I miss the 'flippability' of my X, but once you get used to it the I/S handles just fine. It's too bad I had to get rid of my VTX to get this bike. When I can justify having 2 bikes I know exactly what the second bike will be  cooldude. This Valkyrie sat for a good while before I bought it so there are still some issues to work out, but they're minor, and I gotta say I love this bike so far. All the good things I've read about the Valkyrie are true.

Come on over to Hotglues BBQ.  I am coming down from ND, MN to be there too.  100 or so Valkyries in one place, along with a wealth of info.  No better way to learn about your new love!

Congrats on the new to you ride.  Great color combo choice as well.   cooldude cooldude  I see that you are lacking a little bit of chrome, but I trust you will take care of that in due time.  I don't think you will miss your VTX too much.... I recently parted with mine and am considering getting another Valk I/S to have solely for solo riding... but I want the fairing and bags.   Don't get me wrong, the VTX is a great bike.... and once you get used to the Valk you will get that "flippability" as well.

That Gatherin O The Fools looks like a wonderful event....  I might have to make a trip for that one year.  Enjoy it.......

Thanks for the well wishes, y'all. Unfortunately I'll be working next weekend, so I won't be able to make it to Hotglue. I'll make it next year, though.

Gracias. I've been admiring pics of your bike on the other board for years... I've got some minor issues to work out on this bike, but once its done and I'm settled in I'll start with the mods. Got rear speakers on the way.

I think I'll always miss my VTX. Some of the best times of my life were spent on that bike. It was really hard to walk away from it. I hope the new owner gets as much enjoyment out of it as I did.

You did an awesome job making the VTX yours.  Can't wait to see what you do with the I/S.
