Beautiful east Tennessee ( GOD'S Country )

« on: March 26, 2011, 06:21:45 AM »

Hooked up friday in Sweetwater, Tennessee with two other rider's Terry ( T-Bird ) and Paul ( Wimp ) for a ride into ( 3 ) states. We did 350 miles around trip through some beautiful country on some not so famous backroads. Temp's was in the mid 30's when I pulled my bike out of the garage and we saw it all yesterday...Cold ,warm, sunshine and rain on the way home last night.First few picture taken at Towee Falls between Tellico Plains and Coker Creek, Tennessee.

These box's are all up and down Hwy.68 between Coker Creek and Hiwassee Dam . It has a sticky coating that's full of bugs. My friend Terry ( T-Bird ) lives in Cleveland and said he saw in the paper these are to see if the bettle that's eating all the tree's in The Great Smoky Moutains is on the move into this area.

We cut up through Hwy.297  out by Field's Of The Woods and made our way into North Carolina and into the Blue Ridge area of Georgia.Just so you know T.W.O. ( Two Wheels Only ) in Suches, Georgia is history everything was sold . The lady at Dales Market said what they did'nt sell they busted up and threw in a huge pile behind the building.

We cut across Hwy.180 part of The Cooler Run ( Wolf's Pen Gap ) back toward home and made a stop in Blairville, Ga. for some Q .I had the baby back's and to be honest they was pretty damn good.

We took some backroads out by Nottely Lake another awesome road with nice long sweepers you can just roll the power on through.

It was a outstanding ride the only way it could have been better is if we had beat the rain home but even with that it was a great day to be out sharin' the wind with friends.Last picture " The Money Shot " taken at Hiwassee River between Coker Creek and Ducktown, Tennessee . The Hiwassee was runnin' full blast this is the highest I've seen it in awhile.

Hey Dave we got to looking yesterday and we'll be coming close to your hood on our way to InZane. Last year we made Holland,Mi. before calling it a day and getting a room. If you're around on that Monday maybe we can do lunch....And it goes without saying if you're going to InZane you are more than welcome to join our group....Are you going to InZane ?

This coming June will be 13 years I've owned this bike " Half-Breed " . I have no plans whatsoever of getting rid of it so I guess the only way someone would get it is steal it  Wink

Picture taken yesterday across the road from the closed down T.W.O. Motorcycle Resort.

I'm waterproofing my boots right now... the forcasts I looked at seemed like we are most likely to
see rain on the way home, not so much on the way... and it will probably change...
