Just bought an Interstate (my fourth Valky, but first Interstate). There's a small dimple in the tank on one side near the seat, and a very shallow indentation a little higher up. I was thinking about getting a lower tank cover, such as I recently saw on a Royal Star, to cover things up, but I've not been able to google anything for the Interstate.

Anyone know of any such products?

I've seen one before, on someone elses Valkyrie but I have no clue who made it.  Its not something that is very common.  Maybe someone else will have a source.

Google "Heritage Leather". They have tank leathers for Interststes. Well; They had them a few years ago.

What I have seen, I would call a tank "bra" that is fitted on the back end of the tank.  Mostly seen on sportsters and bullet bikes.  Sure wish there was one for the I/S as my Ultimate Big Boy has rubbed almost every speck of paint off the tank. tickedoff  When you spend that kind of money on a seat........ tickedoff tickedoff tickedoff

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I asked the same question a few months ago. If you can search lower tank bra maybe it will come up. Someone here directed me to a link to a guy that does this. Kit always puts her legs on mine as we ride and some times has little rocks in her boots and has scratched my tank. But after looking at the prices I changed my mind. It was around $100. Way to much for so little. Check with a local upholstry shop or boat cover place, they may be able to make some. I just had saddle bag lid covers made from a boat cover place for $95. They have made alot for the HD's lids.

Interesting, I have a slight gap between my Big Boy seat and my I/S tank. It must be a production tolerance issue.

or you can do like i did with my seat after i did the interstate tank install on my tourer and after trimming the horn of the seat back it still rubbed. i went to staples and had them run a sheet of laminate (the stuff thats on your licence cost 2.50) trimed it to the shape of where the seat was rubbing and used 3m spray adheasive to hold it to the tank.

On another bike rider's website (Honda Interceptor), it seems quite popular to use a clear film so the bike looks more natural.
The company is called tankslapper.com.The film is removable and reusable. They had a kit listed for Valkyrie but whether that is the I/S or not-don't know.

Scotchguard has a product for paint protection. I don't have any experience with this product, just knew it's out there.

Why not get the dent fixed instead?

Not a bad idea. Can it be done on a seriously curved surface, I wonder?
