Yesterday while driving to a doctor's appt, Wizard and I were watching a car wandering from being over the yellow line to repeatedly driving on the rumble strips on the shoulder.  I said it wouldn't be worth the trouble to report it to the police, Wizard said  in the past, when someone drove like that you knew they'd been drinking.  Which meant that if you reported them, when they cops caught up to the problem car, the driver was still drunk!  Nowadays, they drive and text, but by the time a cop sees them, the message is done and there's no evidence of the stupidity.

Total topic switch but yeah Daniel, those Altima's will handle a LOT better than you'd think... I've got a 2008 (V6 with the 6 speed manual, THAT combination was HARD to find!) and last summer I found myself with me, the spousal unit, the spawn unit and the mother in law in the vicinity of US129 on a family vacation. I made the requisite detour to make sure I got to at least drive Deal's Gap...

The Altima handled the road well enough that

#1. No motorcycles ever came up behind me needing to pass.
#2. I actually came up on a few groups of bikes and had to pull over and let them get further ahead of me so I could enjoy the road, and most impressive, to me at least...
#3. Made the mother in law throw up. (She said she had NEVER gotten sick in a car before that)

Glad all involved were around to write about what happened instead of us having to read a news story about it!

Hope you were wearing your brown pants.....   coolsmiley

Glad you are OK.  I agree that the motorcycle experience helps watch out for trouble when in the cage.

When we're also in a cage, we like to take pictures of them while they're texting, and, if we can get their attention, let them know we're taking pictures.  (Note that one of us drives while the other one snaps the pics.)

Interesting idea, but hard to do when you're behind them on a two lane road.  And the way this car was weaving all over, I'd be afraid to try to get next to it (in range!)

Where do you place your vehicle in order to do this?
