Changed out all 6 intake O rings on my 2000 I/S with Redeye's Viton GFs Saturday. The picture is of the left bank, and the ring thats in the worst shape was replaced in November and was purchased from Autozone. The two originals, although not distorted or swollen took a pretty good "set" and are flat on both sides. I knew that the replacement that I picked up locally may not have been made for the heat and gas -which proved to be true. Hope this saves additional work for someone else.

Thanks for the pics.  What caused you to change them again so soon?

Well four of the six were leaking, some obvious on the outside_all had signs of leaking underneath. I had changed two using the autozones previously but the last four were original to the bike.  When I took the manifolds off I was surprised to see the condition of the non viton GF's. Hope its good now for another 10 years.

I changed to #123 Viton several years ago. No more problems. 119K on the clock now.

I changed mine out with the Redeye's when I put on the shiny desmog kit.  No idea if the old ones were original or not.  They looked slightly flattened is all.
