Any day that you ride is a good day!

We started by riding about 80mi of the BRP.

It was a little cool but not bad.

The wind was really whipping across the mountain tops though and beat us around a bit @ times.

After a stop @ Mabry Mill,

We rode US 58 from Meadows of Dan, VA to SR 8 and Jacks Creek Covered Bridge.

From there it's only about two miles to Bob White covered bridge.

Bob White is the more interesting of the two.

It's almost twice as long as Jacks Creek Bridge and the woodwork is more intricate.

Next we need to set a date to check out VA's six other covered bridges.

The wind beat us around some too yesterday, especially the higher up we got. Riding 64 between
Brevard and Rosman was the windiest. Are all those other bridges on such nice roads?

The route that I've planned out to see the other bridges mostly follows VA SR 42.

SR 42 is a very scenic and enjoyable ride.

Really nice pics! Looks like a great ride. How far are some of these from the Roanoke area? I will be visiting my sisters in Roanoke this summer. Good riding near there?

The two that I visited on Sat are within 80 or so mi of Roanoke.

Give me a shout when you plan to be in the Roanoke area.

I'll be glad to show you some of the rides here in my "back yard".
