I took an opportunity to flush my brakes and clutch a few days ago, and decided to throw in the speedbleeders I bought last year. The brakes worked fine, but the clutch would not bleed with that thing in there... had to bleed it like a regular bleeder... I assume the one way valve is leaking.

Anybody else had that problem, or am I just an idiot?

I'm guessing the speedbleeder needs more pressure to overcome it's internal spring loaded ball valve than what is needed to compress the clutch springs.

It was many many many years ago when I put mine in, but I remember there was SOMETHING that kept me from using the speed bleeder on the clutch, I finally gave up on using that one, but do use 'em for the brakes...

Can't use speedbleeders until the lines are full. Fill it with a MityVac and then the speedbleeders should work fine.

Hey, appreciate it guys, I did use that SB8125LL bleeder for the clutch, but still no dice. I'll try to fill the lines with a pump next time.

they have great customer service.  call them, explain the problem, and they will probably send you a new one no questions asked.  I had a bad one a few years back and it was replaced within days no charge.
