However beautiful the strategy, you should occasionally look at the results.

Enjoyed the ride but with a tad of jealousy since my Valk is covered in the garage and calling for snow again tonight.

I rode that road in Feb of 2010 I believe.  Only problems were it was snowing, and I was driving a UPS truck.

When you leave Wilhoit and do the climb into Prescott, right where the civilization starts. there's a cool looking motel on the left, north side, that I've wanted to try out but haven't yet. That end of Prescott I've always fancied because it's still rustic. Let me know if you try it out.

Michael K (Az), I enjoyed the video, thanks.....I've ridden to Prescott several times over the years, but the most beautiful that I think I've ever seen the desert in bloom was on a ride from Palm Desert to Prescott last April 15th for the Tax Day Tea Party Rally at Courthouse Square. The flowers and multiple shades of green, and even the Golden Popopies along I-10 were just spectacular.  I stayed the night at the Hassayampa Hotel across the street from Courthouse Square, it's a lovely old hotel, with lots of charm. I've also stayed at the St. Michael Hotel before, and like it as well. Of course the St Michael is right on Whisky Row, so it's a little more convenient for the night life....if one is so inclined to partake.....I think I got all the names and spelling correct, but if I didn't I know you'll know what I'm talking about.......rick (6shutr)

Nice ride report, Michael! I've done that very stretch myself... and it is a great run! Who knew four lanes could be that good of a ride! A friend lead me up from Phoenix to Prescott and to the bar in one of the old hotels on the square... what a really nice time we had!!! Thanks for the memory jogger... Oh, the composition of the report was really good, too... sound, captions, Jello-cam video... all very well done. Hope yer doin' well, and enjoyin' Arid Arizona...

Glad I could jog your memory Bruce. It was a fun solo ride that was more than needed!! Arizona's fine, miss my buddies that live in a more easterly direction, tho. Be nice to get together with you and pull some pig parts with ya!

Yeah, I'm addicted to the 2 bros 6X6 pipes and hope to trade a set of new oems for another 2 bros someday cause mine are gettin funky!
Actually, the flip cam is a great camera but I think I wore something out bouncing around on the bike to create that weird jello effect. works good hand held!

Good video! I got my I/S out today. A little brisk. A balmy 48 degrees. Wish this winter would finally end and let the spring begin.

Nice!  cooldude  The ride over (up?) to Prescott was beautiful. Wish we had something similar around here, but no dice. Guess I need to consider a career change and a move to more picturesque surroundings.   uglystupid2

I had the 2Bros on my 98 and loved them, but after about 75K miles of New England weather they started pitting pretty nasty around the headers. I had added them when the bike was on the showroom floor, so I took the OEMs and sent them out to MarkT. I kinda miss the sounds of the two bros sometimes, but I love the looks of the MarkTs and they are a bit more mellow.

For some reason the 2Bros always sound better on the 97s and 98s than the later bikes where they pick up a nastier note.
