Will HD road king hard bags fit on my 99 tourer without a lot of work?

I'll bet those Hardley bags would cost a Bundle. And then
to mount them. Man how deep are your pockets?

Maybe look into Tsukayu. Looks like a high quality product,
and certainly a Whole lot less money. I believe some folks
on here have used them on the Valk.

Also, the lines of that brand are rounded, look good on
phat lady. Just my .02.

I highly reccommend the Tsukayu Bags. I have them and they are great. You can google their site.

To answer your question, I've seen the HD bags mounted on the Valk using the Hondaline leather bag mounts.

The Tsukayu Bags are really nice, I mounted a set on Christy Valkyrie.  I was also wondering if the Harley bags would work, you can find them on ebay and the hdforums.com site pretty cheap compared to the Valkyrie bags.   I hope someone tries this and lets us know.

The blue bike does NOT have Harley bags...If you read about his bike you will see that they are an aftermarket brand with a mounting kit.  It is my understanding that the second bike was completely harley from the tank back. LOTS of work.

I have purchased a set of harley bags off of E-bay for $175.  The latches were another $175.
I will be fabricating up a mount soon that will be similar to the stock Harley mounting system, but bolts to the Valk (I hope so anyway).

The problem seems to be spacing the bag on the right side out far enough to clear the swingarm and drive assembly, without being out so far as to look funny.  The factory hardbags are designed with a cutout area for this, where the harley bags are not.  I also think that in order to have the bags far enough rearward so a passenger's legs don't hit them, that they will hit the turn signals.

I haven't spent more than about 30 minutes working on it since I have been working on my HD fairing install....hopefully I will get to it this spring.   getting too nice to work on it and just ride cooldude

I remember reading the write-up on the blue Valk.  Those are the Tsukayu "Patrol" bags.

http://www.tsukayu.com/Patrol.htm

His fairing is Harley and his trunk is Harley, but the bags are Tsukayu.

Somebody already mentioned it, but the leather bag mounts make a great aftermarket bag mount.  You might have to mod them a little, but they'll work.....
