Need help.Anyone out there have a 02 standard drive shaft ,pinion cup seal an spring clip for sale? I was inspecting them today an found that the seal was out an everything was dry an junk .I need them prior to going to the Laughlin river run in Az.

Those parts are still readily available new, and for reasonable prices.  You'll spend less than $150, closer to $100.

Your local dealer may be able to get them faster, and may match the HDL prices.

If the parts seem to appear Ok, there is no need to replace them.

Simply clean and regrease them and put it all back together.

You can use the seal again since it is against stationary parts. it's like a dust seal actually.

Nothing to get alarmed about at all!

I would change the rear drive oil while you're at it.

he's going to have to change the rear end oil, because he need to drain it before he pulls the final drive out from the bike, and then has to lay it flat on the bench.  just use a 1/2 inch air impact wrench to take the pinion cup nut off, and to put it on.  good luck.

Everything is going to be cleaned an inspected an new oil for the final drive.At least the drive splines are good an so is the u-joint but going to buy a spare.Thanks everybody.
