It was tighty allright Ihad to cut it off.it seams like the driveshaft was hitting the threaded end of the shaft that the pinion cup is mounted on.It was mushroomed an the nut would not come off.I must have put 200 pounds of torque on it an no movement.I got it off with very little damage to the threads so all I need now is the cup an a new nut.what a pita this is .I injured my left pinky finger with a rubber mallet trying to remove the drive shaft from the cup an removed most of the skin from my finger.OUCH OUCH.A warning to everybody check the shaft an pinion cup for grease. My seal came out an lost all the grease an was dry.Happy that I found out about this before braking down out in BFE.
