Just ordered a case of the new OEM oil filters  (15410-MFJ-D01)and found out the Rivco chrome oil filter cover will not fit it. Took the chrome cover to my Buddies and had him turn it down so it will fit. I know alot of Valk owners that have the Chrome cover might be a little upset when they get the new OEM filter. Just giving everyone a heads up. The filter cover is thick enough that you can have it turned to fit though.

My Rivco cover fits on the WalMart Super Tech filters, though the filter is a bit longer so some of it is exposed at the bottom.

I use the Honda Element oil filter and oil drain plug crush washer.  Tried the Wal-Mart filter (the larger one) and it leaked slightly; there appears to be a small difference in the size of the Wal-Mart gasket which could have accounted for the leak.  I like the look of the Honda blue filter up front.

I have used Super Tech Filters for about nine years and never had a leak on a 1100 Spirit or a 98 Tourer. I sometimes paint sliver or cut a 7/up can to fit.  cooldude

I have used the super tech filter #3593A of which is a larger capacity filte. Never had any problem.
I also paint mine silver. OK...it's not chrome but I do have a larger capicity filter!!! cooldude

I currently us the Purolator PL14459.
It has a larger capacity than OEM,
Filters out smaller particles,
Filtering surface area is many times OEM.

+1, it is also the same filter for my Honda Fit.  I buy them by the 1/2 dozen from H&A Honda.
