HUH?

The owner said he is going to make it right but I have not had a chance to have a face to face with him yet.  I will on friday when I pick them up.

Lets see what he offers me before I smear him too much.  Smiley

As much anger and horror I had when I first learned of what happened I now have but it has been replaced with joy and respect. cooldude

So after meeting with the guy at the shop he refused to accept payment for the install and also wants me to bring the rim in this winter for him to get re-chromed.  He put it in writing as well.

When I first heard what happened I was not too upset as I figured it was not that bad, then as I thought about it I got angrier and angrier thinking about it, but this was before I had a chance to see him face to face.

Like I stated before, I would not smear anyone before I had a chance to talk to them face to face.

After talking to him I found he had a genuine concern for the customers.  I really felt bad about the situation and did not like him not accepting payment for the install but understand where he is coming from.

We chatted for quite some time about other stuff and overall I am very impressed with his shop, his attitude and his integrity.  His ideas are not to push the Honda brand but whatever brand brings the best quality for repairs and maintenance as well.  We talked about different oils and lubes and all round motorcycle stuff and he really has done his homework.

I would definitely recommend anyone passing through the Morgantown, WV area to use them if they need anything.  Morgantown Powersports. (304) 296-9055  http://www.morgantownpowersports.com/index.htm

I WILL bring all of my business to this place.

They sound like they have integrity there.  Hard to find genuine integrity these days... Good for you.

If I was closer.... I'd probably go there myself.

My old boss (a die hard harley guy) took his cycle to the harley shop in Black River Falls for some routine maintenance and some new tires before they took a trip out to glacier national park.  On the way back he got a flat tire on his rear wheel, and then after they got that fixed his front tire went!!  Turns out his spokes had some rust on them and they punctured the inner seal, or inner tube, don't know what he actually had.  The harley dealer in Gillette WY told him he needed a new rim and that they wouldn't have one until the next week (Sturgis was going on).  so, his cycle was stranded, and he was pissed!!  Bummed a ride with another rider, told the dealer in BRF's about the situation.  the dealer paid all his travel expenses for going back out to Gillette, paid for the new rim and tires, then gave my old boss a full year of service for ANYTHING that might go wrong, parts included, but, to top it all off, he allowed him to choose any accessory for free!!  Now, that's customer service!!

I always think of that dealer when I go by it off of interstate 94.  one of these days I’m going to stop in and tell him that even though I don’t have a harley, I would definitely make him my dealer of choice.

Glad they stepped up for you. My initial reaction would have been exactly as i posted. I'm truly happy they did the right thing for you-and some new potential customers. Hope this all works out for you. Another post when this gets corrected would be nice. RISE SAFE.
