Until further notice (say November or at least after July's election brings in fresh ideas   Grin   ), there will be no regularly-scheduled wrench parties.  It's time to ride.

This is not to say twisters and tweakers will not be available until then.  .  If there is a pressing need, please post.  If you need or want help, please post.  If you need the football, please post.  If you want someone to come over to point and laugh, well, there are several folks you can call.   Cheesy

Going forward, we envision a calendar that stresses Wrench Parties from November through February or March that will take care of needed periodic maintenance in preparation for the riding season ahead.

What did you need done?  I still got a few small projects to do, and one big one (final drive maintenance).  Also the mother-in-law lives up there and we go visit a few times a year.  We were recently up there, so it might be a bit before we go back though.

I had offered to do a party in July here in ET. With the 4th and Inzane in July it's prolly not a good idea. I have decided no to go to ROT this year so I could have one in June if anyone is interested. If not what about an ET ride In June.

Good point, Rainmaker and Oops on me.   Embarrassed   Sorry, GL57.

I should have added, "If you want to pick a weekend to come up/down/over, please post.  We'll roll out the welcome mat."

I am still interested in wrenching at least once more this summer.  Just got in those super dampers from Gary, a 12V fuel cut off valve and new shock bushings.  So there's a wrench party right there!   Also, want to see how the waterproof marine grease is working on the splines as I'm trying that over the moly paste.

If someone does decide to do a wrench party, let me know.  Lots of work to do!  Otherwise, will have to work it in during my otherwise riding time.

Ok, no official April wrench party. Lets plan another ride this month, I think we have an extra weekend.

I need to check with Redneck and Hollywood, but the May wrench party has been planned at their place since Feb I think.  I just need to make sure they are still up for it. That would be a good opportunity for finishing up projects that did not get wrapped at ThagAndy's

With Hoghead out in ET, we could easily plan a ride around a gathering at his house in June. I didn't get to make it to the Valkyrie Cave last year.
This would also be a good time for last minute fixes for those headed to Inzane.

I am going to have the mechanic put on a new rear tire. He lubes the splines and replaces the o-rings as part of his service. Yes I have to pay a bit more, but he also takes care of me. No longer trust the tire even to Dallas.
My personal list would be to replace all the vac lines, sync the carbs, replace the fuel lines.
There was no way I could make the Sunday meetings and then ride back to Amarillo to work Monday.

Rich at Red Eye Tech has a great kit for Vacuum Lines & Caps.  Carb sync is fast.  I started with 5/16 fuel line but found 3/8 to be much easier to install, especially from the tee to the carburetor banks.  The pre-bent OEM fuel lines would be a snap, but I didn't even price them...

And please note, the opening post refers to regularly-scheduled wrench parties.  If you, or anyone else needs to schedule one, let's do it.   cooldude

Can we do a wrench party at Hogheads before June 15th am leaving on a 5 day ride.
Thanks

Suggest you ask him to service the pinion cup and drive shaft too.  It seems that even dealers who service the drive hub splines often neglect the pinion.
