Question about the front forks:

If I understand right, one leg controls compression, the other is rebound. Which leg does what?

Right leg is dampening...I am not sure how to say the other leg works.  It doesn't have a dampener in it.  Just another, smaller, spring.

Front Forks Blowout

Check the microfiche.  You can see the difference parts.

Both front shock absorbers do what the description says. Absorb shocks and do it in the same way.

The only difference between them is that the right shock absorber has a damper in it for rebound attenuation.

That's enough of a difference to make servicing them different... But all of the parts that you would normally change are the same for both sides.
