Stumbled upon this:

http://www.bilousales.com/home

It is an entire motorcycle salvage yard that is being liquidated.

Looks like a great opportunity for anyone that may be restoring an old bike.

Interesting..... if only those old bikes could talk.... I bet there would be some great stories.

I think most of those now are candidates for scrap metal shredding/recycling.  Left out in the elements is not good.

Funny what you can pick out in that picture.
If you look to the bottom of the picture you can see some
bright blue. That my friends is a 1971 Honda SL350. Remember
they made a CL,CB and the SL all with the 350 motor.
Oh the good times I had after the 67 Triumph.

My brother and I bought new CL 350's together, they were great bikes.  HEAVY tho.  That SL must have been a bear to run in the woods on.

I had a CL350 maroon in color.  Funny story, it had this funny noise when it was running even though it ran o.k.  So I took the engine out and disassembled it in the spare bedroom.  Put new rings and bearings in it.  Same noise afterwards.  Went to the Honda shop and talking to the parts guy, he said it was probably the kick start pawl, the spring gets weak and lets it drag on the gear.  Sure enough, new spring, problem solved.  Grin

I saw that tank and thought the same thing.  I had the CL350.  High pipes so someone would think they could ride it off road.  Yeah, right.  Tried once.  Handled the dirt about as well as the Valk does.

I had a couple of cl 350s and one cl 450. In 1972 i bought a brand new sl 350. Man i loved that bike in the day. It was the first year they put a 21 inch front tire on them. The only trouble with all of them was the pipes would crack and break.
