Five of us  took off this morning from Clinton , Tennessee Greg ( Smooth Rider ) Gordon and Janet ( Lucky 13 and Mean Streak ) Al ( Big Al ) and Smokin'joe at 9:00 we made our way just outside of Johnson City and added Big Tom to the group. We rolled into the Shady Valley Store right on time and hooked up with Don ( Highbinder ) and Tracy ( Lady Draco ) from Tazewell,VA. along with Ron ( Normandog ) and Carolyn ( Carolina Girl ) from Nebo,NC. We did The Snake into Mountain City, TN then took off down Hwy.67 toward Elizabethton,TN out by beautiful Watauga Lake <---Nice ride ....to grab some lunch at Lone Star. Did'nt take many pictures today we rode right at 350 miles around trip.Not really that many bikes at Shady Valley for such a awesome sun filled day. Did'nt see any cops the entire 1 Valley 3 Mountains and 489 curves very rare that happens here in fact they patrol this area more than The Dragon IMO.




Rare find these days....Corn-Free gas .

After lunch it was time to say good-bye to the Virginia and North Carolina riders and head back toward Clinton,TN.

Joe, when we passed thru Shady Valley on the way home, it was wall to wall bikes there....we had a great time and a great ride, got home about 6:15 all went well....good seeing everyone again...this was my first long ride since I injured my shoulder....feels pretty good....it's ready for the season ...let's do it again.. cooldude

the Snake is one of our favorites  cooldude. We do it each year at the Rune Rally on Labor Day weekend. It hasn't got QUITE as crazy as the Dragon................with too many bikes..................well................yet anyway! it's starting to get more and more crowded each time we do it.............

Send some of that "corn-free" stuff up here to Yankeeland.  I'm paying $3.85 a gallon for the ethanol enriched version.
