Just noticed that my left fork is leaking like crazy.

I have two questions:

1) Are there some tips somewhere about replacing the fork seals.

The service manual is pretty thourough on this but I figure someone may have some additional insight.

2) Would it be worthwhile to replace the fork springs?

76k mi on the clock.

I've never had any complaint with the OEM springs but was wondering if maybe Progressive made some better ones.

The progressives are a nice upgrade on the Valk.

There are some tips in shoptalk (http://valkyrieriders.com/shoptalk/

The seals seem to hold on for 50-60K miles. I'm due another set at the moment.

I guess that I can't complain then. She had 26k on her when I bought her so I'm sure that the leaking one is the same one that she left the factory with 76k mi ago.

There's a special tool for one side... someone here loaned me one... the manual lists "wear parts",
I got all the wear parts, and progressive springs... you'll love progressive springs...

Don't even try it yourself if you don't have a plush, well lit, fully equipped shop!

It appears a white plastic outdoor chair plays a very important role as well....lol

Hey Mike,

Is that "special tool" a 1 1/2" or a 2" PVC Elbow ?

I was thinking that if I replaced them myself that I was going to have to go to Harbor Freight and buy a vise.

I see now that I just have to go to Walmart and get a plastic chair.  Evil
