New member. Just picked up a '98 Standard in Missouri for a very good price and am cleaning it up, doing the maintenance, etc., anticipating many worry free miles on trips with my 22 year old son who is out of his mind excited about moving up from the '81 Silverwing he's been riding the last few summers. I've owned 5 Goldwings, still have a '97SE, so I'm not new to the F6 but I am noticing some differences between the Wing & the Valk. Think we can handle most of the differences when it comes to wrenching but we do have some questions and we're hoping the members on this site will be as helpful as the guys on the Saunders site have been with my Wings.

Welcome from a former Winnipeger!

You are in a great place here. Loads of advice. Me, I'm no wrench, but I've learned a few things here. I use the 'search' function a lot. When that fails, I use my imaginary friend - he screws things up on the bike and I get to post the resultant questions.  cooldude

I got my IS in Boston. Come to think of it, my last 4 bikes came from the states.
