Spent 2 full days riding in the Hill Country this past weekend.  We rented a 3800 square ft home sitting in the middle of 38 acres on a hilltop just out of Bandera, Tx.   Really nice home and the price ws only about $125 per couple per night based on 4 couples sharing the house.

We rode a little over 600 miles just in the Hill Country and covered Utopia, Leakey, Campwood, Barksdale, Hunt, Kerrville, Medina, Vander Pool, Luckenbach, Fredricsburg, Enchanted Rock State Park, Willow City Loop, Comfort, Stonewall, and manyother small towns I can't remember off hand.   Some of these towns we went through several times taking different rides.   Had the famous pancakes in the restaurant in Utopia.....litterally the size of the plate.   Really nice riding there, weather was just great, ate a lot of good food, did a little shopping and made it home safely.

now back to work.

Sounds like my idea of a perfect weekend.  Glad you and others got to ride the Hill Country!

We are going this weekend to Snook for chicken fried bacon.

I am heading over that way Thursday morning for the Gathering of the Guard.  An annual PGR gathering for Patriot Guard riders.  Looking forward to having a nice weekend for riding.

As my plans had been made prior to the Bluebonnets and Chicken Fried Bacon run to Snook, I will miss seeing those of you making that ride.

All ride safe.

yeah mee too.    by the way, if any of you have never been to the Lone Star Motorcycle Museum in the Hill Country just outside of Vander Pool, Tx it is a great museum.    The guy has around 40 or so completely restored old motorcycles of all types.  He has a great display of antique motorcycles there.  you can google Lonestar Motorcycle Museum and it tells about the display of motorcycles.  costs $5.00 to get in and it's the only museum I've been to that you can touch the bikes and with his permission I saw several people sitting on the bikes to take pictures.
