So, it's that time again.  It's the third Wednesday of the month, so this must be Alabama.  Yes, I'm out of town again.  I'd like to sit down with everyone and talk about May, but I can't make it.
So, ya'll meet Wednesday night, 7 PM at Big Woodrow's, 3111 Chimney Rock, at Richmond. Phone number is 713-784-2653, and location can be found by the Mapquest link from www.woodrows.net.
We'll talk more on the boards about May.

Since I won't see you personally, I'm going to need proof you actually showed up.
I need to show you that I actually have a running Valkyrie, too.

Mark, I realized I had only posted a message to the DFW crew about coming down to Houston for the Ride For Kids at the end of April.  Would you please make sure the Houston crowd knows about this?  Hey, if it is good enough that folks ride in from Dallas, Austin and Beaumont, and Ride Texas makes it #1 in the state for charity rides, it must be worth missing church and coming across town for, eh?

Here's some of the basic info and a link from my post to the DFW area folks.  I'm guessing we'll bring 5-6 bikes down with us.

Houston/South Texas area Ride for Kids is coming up on Sunday, April 26. It's an all new ride location and route this year, starting up near Lake Houston in Humble.   The ride will be new and fun, but it's not really about the ride. It's about these kids with brain tumors who need some help and the fun that hundreds of bikers getting together for a ride and lunch can have with these kids.  I've never met anyone who didn't go away from this with a smile on his/her face.

All you folks are invited to what continues to be voted the best charity ride in Texas by Ride Texas readers.  Please pass along the invite to your non-Valkaholic friends, too.  Imagine if we brought 40-50 new folks to this and got to ride and eat together again in April.  And, for every $300 you raise and donate at the ride, you'll get a chance to win a new Honda.

I'm going to head down on Saturday, April 25 from the DFW area with some others who want a leisurely back roads ride down to the Humble area, enjoy some dinner that night and then ride with the kids the next day.   If you want to join us, just email or post up. Details on time and route are still being worked out.

Here's the link to details on location in Humble, map and discount hotel info for those from out of town.  Registration is 8-9:45 (donuts and coffee included). Ride starts at 10 sharp with lunch (included) and celebration with the tumor patients to follow.  Plenty of time to ride home afterwards.
