Bought a Titan lift a few weeks ago but been too busy to really use it . Last week we went thru the cams , rocker boxes and all on a 2002 road glide along with the trans pan, clutch and rear wheel. This evening I pulled the Valk on and pulled the rear wheel , diff, driveshaft, ujoint. Just looking ,cleaning ,relubing since I run "darkside" and don't pull it down for tire changes every 5-6 k any more. I screwed up a set of splines three years ago., but today they look like new , so all is good. Was kinda cool not to have to remove the back half of the rear fender,or even unbolt the shocks to get the wheel off....this lift has a dropout plate to drop rear wheel through.I did unbolt the right shock to remove diff.. ,but still really helps a old fat guy like me to do all the work standing up ,instead of fighting it on the floor.

Everything on the rear looked great , all cleaned up greased, back together ,slipped in a new set of brake pads, the only fussing was trying to slip the rubber boot back onto the driveshaft tube AAARRRGGG . Had a little clunking noise in the front when I stopped from a slow roll using the front brake and had begun to pick up a shimmy when I pulled hands from handle bars. Found some play in the stem bearings,so off with the handlebars, speedo, tach, windshield, top tree, ect. Pulled it all down ,cleaned and inspected bearings....all good so reassembled . Had to take a few minutes and make a spanner socket for the nut . Used a 30mm deep socket and welded 4 pieces of 1/4 key stock to the sides pertruding 1/4 inch...and wala had a perfect fit. Pulled the tank and replaced the airfilter, snugged up that onrey hose clamp on the upper radiator hose...you know the one.....the hard to get to clamp that seeps just enough to give you a wiff of coolant on first start up on a cool day I'll change oil and filter today ,guage the tires, maybe even clean it up some today.
