I am considering cobra 6 into 6...do I really need to jet the carbs right away?  At sea level in Miami.

No, you'll be fine. However, you will lose power & gain noise.

When I installed mine I didn't notice any change in power.  I did get the bike second hand and whomever the prior owner was did have an aftermarket exhaust at some point.  I'm not sure if he jetted the carbs or not though.  I didn't get any backfire, or any change in performance in the negative.  If anything according to the butt dyno I may have picked up a few.  If not, it's loud and I love the sound so who cares!

My bike feels like 120 horsepower with my butt dyno, here are the real numbers.

Butt dynos are very optimistic.   Cheesy Hoser

i wouldnt start messing with the carbs over a set of pipes....it'll run just fine...the old saying..if its not broke, start messing with it till it is,,,is where youll prob. end up...plus you will really be screwd up when /if / you want to go back to the stock pipes.......if stock pipes are installed ,,and they are anything but bright shinny chrome....i would bet someone has been screwing with the jetting/carb settings......just saying and jmho and all that.... cooldude Cheesy Cheesy

You shouldn't have to re-jet,, maybe just raise/shim the needles..
