I thought that I had heard a tape of his before.

Allen West?? He just has his dissenters arrested. Not like the town hall's where the tea party screamed and yelled, and totally disrupted the proceedings, that the elected representatives had to cancel engagements...

What a GOOD choice to illustrate your point...

Allen West Heckled, Heckler Arrested

I'm not sure what point your making regarding my post. You have a problem with Allen West? I like a lot of what I have heard him say. He had somebody arrested? Means nothing to me at this point. I can't vote for him until he moves to Kentucky or runs for a national office. By then I would know a lot more about him than I do now in order to make an informed decision. But my post was to say, I would not vote against him because of his skin color. Would you?? I think Colin Powell could have been a great president but he chose not to run and I respect that. Would I have voted for him? Can't say for sure as things happen during a campaign that can change your views. But I can assure you that his skin color is fine with me.
I will admit my bias that I had concerning our current president during the last election campaign. I could not believe that the American people would elect a man OF ANY COLOR with the name Barack Hussein Obama this soon after 9-11. Just another lesson learned for me concerning the American voter.

Regarding the BC that was "released" in 2008: Questions continued to arise. In response to the questions Obama spent $Millions to obscure, obfuscate and conceal. That isn't forthcoming. See my reference to Andrew Jackson and how a REAL patriot and American responds to such questions. He puts them to rest without delay, without reservation and without obfuscation.

I've heard this repeated on conservative talk radio, but no one has sited specifics.  What actual information do you have that shows he spent that kind of money to hide his records?  Where did he spend it, and on what?

Here ya go:

http://libertypundits.net/article/looking-over-our-shoulder-to-drive-libs-nuts-did-obama-spend-millions-to-keep-birth-cert-secret/
http://www.wnd.com/?pageId=106138

There are more websites on BOTH sides of the issue. Once again, the issue (of how much was spent or not) to impede the investigation could have easily been resolved by releasing pertinent financial information, etc. The man was, to say the least, NOT FORTHCOMING. Even the issue of responding to lawsuits that have been filed (and could have easily been resolved and dismissed, had pertinent information been released and  verified) has been obfuscated and impeded rather than addressed and LEGITIMATELY dismissed. Rather than do the simple thing and get on about the country's business, the man seems to thrive on the controversy and obfuscation. Through his actions he hasn't earned my trust. Quite the contrary.

If this man told me that the sun had come up this morning and the sky is blue, I''D GO CHECK. Not because of his skin color, but because of his PATTERN OF BEHAVIOR.

Just curious...all of you with the gonads to respond....how may of you are willing to respond that you are opposed to a person of color, holding the presidency.

Just wondering....

I can't believe YOU had the gonads to post such a question.  You really don't get it do you?  Sure there are people that don't like the president because he is (half) black, but I would bet they are a small minority of all the people that think Obama should not be our president.  The overwhelming majority of those think he was not qualified and his policies are ruining this country.

I'm not sure why you felt the need to validate Squakin' Chicken's irrelevent post.

It seems that when backed into a corner about Obama liberals throw out the race card as the only possible reason why someone would not like their Messaih.

This would be funny if it weren't so sad.

While your post really doesn't deserve a response, I'll say this anyway:

THERE ARE MANY THINGS THAT I FIND DETESTIBLE ABOUT BARACK OBAMA............. THE COLOR OF HIS SKIN IS NOT ONE OF THEM.

That is your opinion. I listen daily to the N-word, in reference to the President. DAILY!! And yet, with the exception of one, they argue that they are NOT racist! I do know ONE, out of many, who blatantly says he hates n**'s, ALL n**'s.

I can only go by what I see. And you REALLY don't expect me to believe, that of all the people reading this thread, there are NONE that are racist? They just don't admit it??

And overwhelming majority? Ha, what a joke!! There are many, who feel his caving to the rich, and corporations, is NOT liberal enough!

I'm just curious how many here, are on Medicare, and Social Security. And regardless of the argument "I paid for it, I'm taking it!!" will stand by their anti-socialism beliefs, and give up both the SS AND Medicare? Just send the money back....any takers??

Hmmph.

This is a riduculous statement (as is the rest of your post).
People receiving Medicare & SS were already forced to pay into a mandatory retirement system.  It's not their fault that our government used that money as a slush fund rather than investing it, as they should have.
Had folks been able to invest that money themselves or put it in a private retirement system, they wouldn't need SS.

For your point to be valid, those against  socialism would have to have the option of not paying into the system, as well.

I have paid thousands about thousands into SS & Medicare over the years; but would happily sacrifice it all... if I never had to pay another dime into them.

The problem with socialism anywhere its been tried is......EVENTUALLY YOU RUN OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY because slowly people learn that if they work hard to get ahead THEY CANT as soon as they see they end up just as well off as the recipients of the gov programs, then they stop producing and start receiving and soon......oops.....no money to hand out, but everyone was promised, everyone is dependant..............you want to go farther down that road?  I sure dont

I feel really sorry for people who see racism everywhere, for they will never, ever, have any trust in their fellow man.
I work for a transportation company and my drivers span all races, religions, etc.  And I have never heard a single racist comment from any of them in the 18 years I have worked there.  They all work together.  Sure, they have differing opinions and have gripes, but they are not race based gripes.
All of the people here who are saying that "if you don't agree with my opinion in regard to the president you must be racist" appear to be so devoid of facts that the race card is all you have left to play.  The world is not that simple.

"if you don't agree with my opinion in regard to the president you must be racist" ---nobody has said that.

Sure glad to know that racism has been eradicated in the US. I was a bit worried...

You  have got to be the the most thick headed person I have ever encountered. You always assume the position of some higher authority. I shared a bias in an effort to demonstrate that there are more than just skin color to be prejudiced in looking at some one. I did not say that I felt he could not or should not be considered for that reason, I indicated that I thought the American voter would not. I was wrong, obviously. It's not that the name is un-American so much so that it is very middle-eastern, could you not agree? I do understand the concept of being wrong and admitting it must a foreign concept to you but other people do it from time to time.

I also share the name John with John the Baptist, does that offset your comparison to Hinckley?
