I just left a parts supplier to Mercedes Benz and they were shut down this afternoon as Mercedes was damaged by a tornado or high winds this morning in Tuscaloosa, AL that stopped production.  Your new MB SUV is going to be late.

He said the Cullman tornado passed just a block south of his Downtown Grille and tore up the courthouse pretty bad.  Some of you may remember parking in the Courthouse parking lot when we visited the Grille on the way to Cheaha a couple years back.Only minor damage to the Grille and his building next door to it. All of his and Frogs family are alright.  angel All the power is out and the phones are down.He can't call out but some calls are getting through to him.
Still big tornado's rolling through the south right now.  Sad

Glad Wayne and his folks were spared.  Looks like you may need to batten down the hatches Stanley for later tonight.  We are supposed to get some of the trailing edge tomorrow here in Fl.

Crappy weather comes thru here as violent thunder storms. We have had hail high winds and tornado warnings.Leaves here and picks up more strength as it travels. Dang things have been boiling up out of texas (not a bad rap on texas just the system as it has been developing) going thru oklahoma arkansas mo and head north and east out of here. This has been going on close to TWO weeks. Prayers up for anybody anywhere thaT have any kind of storm damage. All that being said-weather guessers are calling for sunshine for thursday and friday. If they are correct-maybe get the test ride in tommorrow. Oh yeah-right here where i reside-we are flirting with about 10 to 12 inches of rain since this started. If i heard the radio corectly(concentrating on the valk) had a person drowend when his pick up got swept away by flood waters, I think it was the second such death here. A lot of the lakes here are up 12 to 14 FEET. This particular storm system seems to be hanging around to dang long. RIDE SAFE.

sherry spent bathtub time last night. She took the dogs into the hall bathroom. I stood by in the house with my Ham Radio. It missed us by just about TWO MILES. the roads all around our house to the East are impassable...closed. Total devastation near Eclectic and Lake Martin..........my "back yard" area..........

The same storm hit us hard Wednesday morning, then as we were trying to salvage what was left, we got hit again around 10:30 p.m. Our shop roof and contents are gone, It turned 2 Valkyries upside down and to the far side of the bldg, Pick up the 09 VMax and dropped it on the hood of my daughter's Mustang, and lifted the roof off the back of our house. Lots of Wind and water damage, Power lines and trees are down for miles and no sign of restoral anytime soon. But, Our family is safe and that's all that matters! I needed more projects and a good excuse to "soup up" the VMax...lol

That same system that roared through AL and Rome hit my Hometown of Mountain City, GA....it touched down around Lake Burton first, then hit Mountain City....lots of trees and powerlines are down around my Aunts/Uncles/Brother's/Niece's houses but they are ok physically.....they have over 100 GA Power crews and other EMC's working on restoring the power.....going to be a mess, but still not as bad as they damage in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham..... Sad Sad Sad

The Wildcat Firehouse burned down there on Hwy 197 that goes around Lake Burton....Britman, Ramjet, and some of the other Georgia folks will recognize this road most likely....News channel 4 from Greenville, SC sent a chopper to get video of the damage.....
