Elmore county....our county....war zone. Roads impassable just a few miles from our house. Death toll climbing....worst outbreak in Alabama history. Sherry spent time in the bathroom taking cover. Town of Eclectic just a few miles from us massive destruction.
two hours ago, i sent one of my workers home....when she got the call one of her relatives is dead.
It's the worst i've seen it in 20 years here........
we have some big limbs and trees down on the property, but we're safe and sound. It was a lONGG night....

Southeast Elmore County, AL, about twenty miles south of Tim & Sherry... at least in my area... things are fine. Nothing to report here except all is well... I haven't been out, so I really don't have much idea other than what I witnessed... Napper and I watched the display from our patio last night, and the show was awesome. I'm thankful we didn't get anything like what Timbob's neighbors got...

I went through a tornado in 1957 in my 3 month old Oldsmobile J2. Brother and i were coming home, spotted the Tornado, it was headed right for us. He took 1 ditch and I took the other one.
It got quiet, then all hell broke loose, and then it got quiet again. The water in that ditch was gone, when I jumped in there there was like 3" of running water.
Raised up, hollered at my brother, he said ya ain't going to believe this, but your car is no where in sight. They found it about a week later, rolled up in a ball, packed full of mud laying against a fence that came across the creek it was in. The family place sustained a lot of damage, so I stuck around to help mom clean it up.
Actually the farmer who lived where they found it and told the sheriff, it was there and that a California plate was visible, and here is the # on it. He was out looking for lost cattle.
I had called my insurance company in California and told them what happened. It was kind of like DDDUUUHHH, tornado, what is that. They had me a new J2 just like my old one, except for color setting in my driveway when we got back home. Dealer knew me and delivered it. I'd bought the other one from him, and he took very good care of the LEO's that bought his goods.

Plus me. I can`t find the words to help these folks, only pray to GOD that it will improve. We have been lucky in central KY. thru this weather. I`m ready for a great Summer. Bless those in the path.
