I live in a wide spot in the RR tracks called San Dimas in the So Cal area. I bought a 98 tourer a couple of weeks ago and the rear tire is a little old (14 years) so I am going to buy a new one. I would appreciate any references for a person, company etc. to change the rear tire for me. The closest Honda dealer wanted 109 bucks.

Thanks

$109.00 wouldn't be bad if they're going to also inspect the rear drive splines, shaft & u-joint. Which would be a very good idea to have done for a new to you Valkyrie. If those rear splines go dry your looking at a replacement rear drive.

Most Honda dealers, OK some, will install a tire or two for no charge if you buy the tires from them at their full price.

Still, this is why I took to mounting & balancing my own. Not to bad to do once you've a few and get the hang of it.

Yea D, it's nearly a sure bet a 14yo tire, means no spline lube/svs for 14 years either.

Time to swap to synthetic 80/90 rear end dope too.

And a metal 90* valve stem on that rear wheel.

Hey Big Mac way to go.   I lived on Justin Place in Moreno Valley in '87 before I got into base housing on March AFB.
