Great Video!  I love the camera postion...anyway I think this shows why car tires are for cars...not trying to dis darksiders or anything, but I can't see the advantage of running a car tire on its edge.  Looks scary and unstable to me! Shocked

Dag, that is outstanding work and service to us thinking about the darkside.  I personally have no problem with (and love) my 180 Metzler except the cost and headache of putting one on every year.

Please give us your unadulterated thoughts on it as you go through the learning/experience curve.  There are those who love it and those that hate it.....I am more interested in a new darksider's experience (over time).

Its so easy to get surprised... Everytime I put on new tires on my Valk I get surprised how the driving ability changes.
It`s like with the snow, I know it comes every winter, but I get surprised every time the first sow comes.... but I get used to it.
That`s what I have to find out regarding the car tire, is the change in handeling bad or good -or do I just get used to it?
We know that the Valkyrie is easy to ride, its super smooth and excellent handling. That`s the three things I`m focused on while "testing" the car tire.

Dag,
Great video. I found that with a CT, you have to be "on it" more. Meaning you need to be more aware of the road surface, the effects of any grooves, lips etc are way more pronounced. That being said I have had mine on for 1.5 years now and I love it. I do have an extra rear wheel that I'm going to mount a MC tire on. More for variety than anything else. Just give it a little time before you make your final judgment.

I hope Dag doesn't mind, but I figured it'd be nice to have his previous video with a motorcycle tire in the same thread for easy comparisons...

One thing i noticed is that the MC tire lifts in turns just like the car tire. I know the car tire has a mind of its own on some roads, But for the miles you get i am sticking with the car tire. To each their own. Good luck Dag.

Awesome video Dag! Loved it.

Now, can we see how an Avon would look to compare?  Cheesy

Serioulsy though, the car tire held its shape better than I thought it would. Hmmm... Still thinking the MC tire is the way to go, but, at least this gives us an accurate perspective..

Very Cool!  cooldude Thanks Dag  coolsmiley

Very cool.. Thanks for  doing that. I'm tempted every time I need a new tire to give the CT a try.
But have stuck with the MC. Put a fresh E3 on this weekend. Like you said, every time a new one goes on its a different ride again.

Thank you Dagg. I tried to find the Bridgestone 200/60-16RR online but could not find it. does it have a model name also? We always go thru alot of hassles shipping to Alaska. I have about 15,000 on the Goodyear triple tread. I sure like the video of the Bridgestone, did not know of the 200/60-16RR.
