Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Another one of my friends sold his bike. He had a sweet VTX 1300. Nice leather and the loudest Cobras I've heard. We did alot of PGR rides together last year. They bought a camper.  Undecided He did sell it to his dad tho and terms was that he can take it to Sturgis with us this year. Which will suck cause he has no long distance saddle time. We dont like to wait on someone during trips which is why we ride solo most of the time. He's talking of getting another bike, wing or HD, but Kit and I dont see that happening anytime soon. He rode it out yesterday for the last time for me to air up the tires. Told Kit no one should sell their bike. Told her she will have to go before I sell the bike. She laughed and said she knows.  cooldude
Had another friend sell his years ago when he had a kid on the way. He talked of getting one again but that has been 5 years ago. He sold it to my HD bud and it sets in the garage and he takes pix of it and sends it to him on occasion.  2funny Same deal on another friend. Kid on the way and was laid off. Sad deal.
Having $$ trouble myself and the divorce I went through, I fought like hell to keep it. It was the only thing that got me through it all. Without it, sad to say, I might not be here today. It will be paid off, again, in a couple months. Never thought I'd have a 11 year loan on a bike!  Angry But I did what I could to keep it.
We had a nice ride yesterday, Kit and I. Went and got her a new leather coat, the closet shrunk hers.  Roll Eyes Stopped at Big R to look at some Black Hawks. We found one we like, well more that Kit liked it! Going soon to put it in layaway after I check locally 1st. Sweet gun. We left and passed, easily, 15 HD's on the highway. Stopped at our HD buds new house to check it out over a few Blue Ribbons. Bought him a case of PBR as a house warming gift.  cooldude
It was a good day.

Good post Brian!

As you know, I've sold a few bikes since you've known me. Always seem to come back to them

The Valkyrie, in my case also, helped a lot when i lost my wife.  Now I'm about to move out to another place and I hope that the Vstrom will help me during this time.  It has been said that losing a spouse to death is the greatest stress but moving to another place is not far behind especially after 56 years and 83 years of age. I think that they're right.

Don't ever sell your two wheels, Valk or otherwise,  you're absolutely right.

I'm going for a ride.

Never givin up the Valk. Nothin better will ever come along. She's paid for and always ready.
