I see a lot of "bikers" that are overweight. I don't really think I am (6'4" 210lb). but when i check my BMI http://www.exrx.net/Calculators/BMI.html it says "overweight". I guess i could knock off 10 lbs and then would be OK Is there anyone else tipping the scales a little bit too much? Are most motorcycle riders "heavy"??

a huge percentage of the population is heavy on any of those charts !!!!!
without a cage around them you can see over weight people !!
I was as tall as I am now, 5'10" and wrestled 119# as a sophomore(1975), 160#'s ago,(you could pretty much touch backbone through my stomach), elbows like a knife.
young healthy/skinny = crotch rocket, maturity/age = weight and cruiser

Seems like I've been overweight all my life, except for maybe a few minutes in high school. Then I was 6'0", 175#, now I'm 6'0", 330#. Sure makes a big difference - guess you could say I'm overweight!

6'1" & 255# with a 54" chest and 38" waist(of my trousers that is) I got a fare bit of extra especially in the belly. Dr. Want me to drop 50# oh the HELL with that I say.
Freshman in highschool I was 5'9" and about 215# move a little bit forward the day I got married at 19y/o I was 6"0' and tipped the scale at 208#, no I was not all muscly and ripped but I was able to lift the from end of one of those little tiny Honda clown looking cars off the ground. Worked in a bakery and did all the heavy carrying 100# sugar bags one on each shoulder. Now my back is kinda wrecked and I feel MUCH older than the number of birthdays I have lived through.
Yep over weight and starting to work on droping 25-30# this next year.

According to the BMI charts I am also over Weight. Those charts don't take in account that one might have more muscle than others. I am 6'3" with weight of 225 lbs. That puts me in the middle of over weight class. I do have a 50 inch chess with 35 waist. Work out 4 times a week.
No I AM NOT OVER WEIGHT.

My grandma said it is important to have a little extra in case you get sick
Grandma had a bunch of extra and lived to be 103 and sharp as a tack till the end
Doctors dont know $hit she said also she said the secret of living a long time is dont forget to breathe
She also said in the early 1900's they gave you warm beer instead of milk cause it was cheaper
She was a happy lady. I sure do miss her
Ride often, buy safety chrome, eat what makes you happy, and dont forget PIE counts as food

I am 26.2 on the BMI scale which tips me over into the overweight category. I would love to lose 15 lbs but it is a battle maintaining my current weight.

Heres the deal than-nobody needs to carry my casket to my dirt nap. Just hire a good size forklift. Don't want anyone remebering my funeral as that time thier boys ended up in thier boots tryin to lift my casket. Ya probably should lose a few pounds-ah fudge-heard a cheese burger call my name. That thing is retarded.
OK... I know I am fat... but it says that I'd have to lose 125 lbs just to not be OBESE. That'd put me at 210.
I have not weight 210 since the 8th grade. I did a stint in the Navy and MAXED every PT test I ever took. At one point I took an immersion type body fat test and tested 7.5% at 265 lbs.
Yes I am fat.
Yes I'd LOVE to lose 70 lbs.
but the standards set by the BMI calculator are retarded.

I was 6' 0" , 165# in the Army in 1953. Now I'm 5' 10 1/2 " and 227. It looks like I'm headed in the wrong direction. I go along with Jabba. Those weight standards are retarded.

From age 16 to 24, I weighed 168 lbs, had a 40 inch chest and 30 inch waist. I ran 2 miles every day, did 50 pushups a day and 150 situps every day (AH! the good ole days!) I married at age 21 and had a son a year later. Moved to an office job where I sat on my rearend all day, didn't have time for the running and exercise and began to put on weight like I could not believe. Rather than dieting and getting back to exercising, I told myself I didn't have the time for such and just kept buying bigger clothes. I am now 62 years old and weigh 270 lbs. 52" chest, 44" waist and hate to see photos of myself. The sad part of it is that along with extra weight comes health problems. Anyway, I have a great life and still enjoy it tremendously.

When I was in the Army I did PT at 5 am everday, ran 3 miles at lunch everyday, and played racquetball for 2 hrs after work 3 times a week. I maintained my weight at 6'1" 200lbs for along time, and I was still considered overweight. Now, I'm probably at least 20lbs heavier and feel like crap all the time, I need to get back on the wagon. I swear kids and wives make you fat
