If you do change, look at there MyFi unit. Once you get your computer set up it gives you a personal WIFI connection for up to 5 computers or you can cable connect.
The important part was it cost me $50 for the unit with a 2 yr contract and you can buy the amounts of GB you want. First month was $88 with fees (everyone is nickle and diming us with fees). I have 3GB at $43 a month compared to AT & T 5GB air card at $77 a month.
More places to hook up.

I use AT&T for my cell service but went with Verizon for the air card.
I chose Verizon because of their lower cost and larger 3G coverage area.
I've had the service for 3 months and so far other than an intial setup problem it is working GREAT.
They have two devices available one is the Mi Fi and the other is the Five Spot.
Both create a small wireless Hot Spot that can be shared by up to 5 devices.
The Five Spot is a little more compact than the Mi Fi and I got mine for free with a 2yr contract.
As for the setup problem it turned out to be an issue with my computer, I had to download an update for my wireless adapter before it could communicate with the Five Spot. It could recognize that it was there but they weren't speaking the same language.
