I've had mine out for CB radio installation but don't remember having any problems, do you have a service manual?

I did my 2001 I/S a few weeks ago. It was a pain. Did you take the little square box doofer off the back of it? Once that is off you have to twist it just right but it will come out.

Alternator Removal / Install Training

Removing your alternator can be accomplished with both speed & ease with proper training.

Once you've mastered the "CUBE" your alternator can either be removed or installed in under 3 seconds.

To simply & quickly reinstall your alternator just re-scramble the cube.

It's not magic. Nor trickery.
Trust me, it works all the time every time.

 2funny  "re-scramble the cube".

Love the Humor Dfragn  cooldude

I too had to learn the hard way... I took mine out over the winter days and it was a p.i.a to get out and put back in.  I have learned a few things.  Watch the frame that you are hanging up against you can scratch that area up pretty good if you don't have the "cube" just right.  Don't ask how I know this....

Oh and remember every twist and turn cause it will only go back in the same way   Grin
