You might want to plan an alternate route.............

There is a 12 mile back up on the northbound side because of a "Sink hole" near MM 196 (Lexington, VA). The last time this happened around here it took two weeks to fix.

I recommend everyone avoid 95 North or South from DC to Richmond VA at all times,  forever.  I hate that road.

You'd be safer in a NASCAR race.

I think there may be delays/exit closed At mm29 in Washington County, VA too. A tornado destroyed that area last Wednesday night, four dead last I heard.

Route 11 is open and works, its nicer than riding the Interstate any day.

Most of the time that is very true.

However, they have a 10+ mile stretch of I-81 North closed and are routing traffic onto Route 11 as a detour.

So, even that option sucks at the moment.
