Hello everyone, Im new here so go easy on me. Thanks. I have since came apon a 2003 Valkyrie Std with a magna blower and a Mikuni HSR 45 carb. Well after some adjusting and cleaning up all the loose ends the bike runs good. Now I have been around bikes all my life and all types but this one is really differrent. The bike also has Three brothers three into three pipes. Well heres is my only problem. Before I can get the bike to full boost the devil jumps up and grabs my Rev limiter and says no way are you going past my control.
so here it is, does anyone have for sale or knows where one might get their hands on a Dynatek 3000 model # D3K1-1. Or if (this is a big if)  anyone knows a Mod to do on the stock CDI box to increase the limit to say around 8000. Im not looking to blow up the motor (34,000 K) on it but to have that extra little boost laying around for that just incase I might need it sometime would be great. As far as I can tell Dyna has stopped production on them four years ago and wont make another one unless I place an order for 150 of them. Well ya dont have to guess what I said to that stupid human on the phone. So what Im looking for here is any and all kinds of help to point me in the right direction. Thanks for even reading my post and Thanks even more if you can help.    George.

???Three Bros. Three into Three???  Huh?   Sounds like a bad a$$ bike though.  I'd love to see pictures.

You might want to shoot your question on the tech board.  They have some real guru's there that can probably help.  I would ask the tech at LaMonster for advice, also.

Keep an eye on evil bay and watch the VRCC classified.

I sold mine on evil bay about 4 years ago.

you will do fine with stock box and dyna coiils. dont touch the rev limiter, you will float it and blow the gas out of the carbs and do damage to it. besides, even wit the blower, you aint making squat for hp after 6800 rpm. still picks up a couple mph but aint making enough to write home about. 3300 to 6800 is the monster hp spot for these things. Mine is a lil different, tho I cant rev past 7200 before hp tails off to nothing. and with tat 45mm mikuni, you will run outa gas above 6800 anyway. prolly runing too lean as it is with it the way it is. just run it fat at idle and you will be fine. gas mileage will suck but, the bike will run like a raped ape. 1.75 lbs of fuel pressure is all you need. anymore and you will blow the float valve out of the carb. just a few tips for ya...  Smiley

you better follow up on that spare Dyna offered. I searched for hours and several phone calls until I found probably the last new one in North America last fall. I haven't got it out of the box yet.
