Yea it hurt.
The hospital gave me 3 rounds of morphine (15mg), wasn't enough...but with another med I was in la la land and then out

Yow... I hope they find that you don't have complications when you go back to the doc... I got shot up
with morphine at the hospital once... made the room strobe...

Yep thats true,
The 2nd day I don't remember, the first 3-4 days were a blur...
The ER did X-Rays and a Dye Contrast scan. Everything inside OK. cooldude
But X-Rays don't show some issues and don't show cartilage fractures.  Sad

I rode today...1 for 1 this week!  cooldude

As for morphine, I know it doesn't agree with everyone.  In college I had a buddy that got hit by a car while jogging.  Now, he probable weighed all of 140lbs soaking wet.  Well, they gave him a morphine drip at the hospital and he FREAKED!!!  It took 7 people to wrestle him down and strap him in bed.

Another story...my grandfather had cancer in his spine that had basically disintegrated 2-3 vertebrae.  The pain was severe, so the doc gave him a prescription for morphine.  But he wouldn't take it because it was addictive...and addictive drugs are bad.  How f'ed up is that??  Anyways, he had these pills laying around.  Then one day, my grandmother falls out of bed and is all bruised up over about half her body.  She was hurt pretty bad.  Well, between the two of them, they decided that she could take some of his morphine for the pain.  My grandfather was close to 6ft and probably 250lbs or more...while my grandmother was under 5ft and less than 100lbs, so the dosage wasn't really calibrated for her.  My uncle who luckily had stopped by to check on them that day found her totally out of it.  He thought she was having a stroke or something and rushed her to the hospital.  They found out that she had actually OD'ed on the morphine.  My dad to this day still thinks my grandfather was trying to kill her.  I think he might be right.  Undecided

Beautiful day in KAKE land santa claus. Hoser enjoy the no more riding to work. I'll bet the workload goes up now that you're "retired" from work.

In the middle of the day I took a 2 hour lunch ride. I blame the sunshine. It was 70 degrees and beautiful. Now I'm inside and it started raining. Nice timing. I'll worry about the rain later. I was able to do what I needed to do today...play.

It has already, it's a lot of work to get the beast out of the garage and ride it all day!  Rode to missouri for lunch yesterday for lunch with a bunch of old retired bikers such as my self.  200 mile round trip.   Gonna do it again today! hoser coolsmiley

4 for 4 today...even though I feel like crap.  I think I'm coming down with a cold or something...sore throat, sinus headache, etc.  My wife and kids had it 2 weeks ago and I thought I was home-free since I didn't get it with them.  I guess it was lingering around and finally caught up with me.  I'm calling the doc for a script as soon as they open up at 9am.  I'm glad I'm off tomorrow.  Sad

Yeehaw, 5 for 5 with rain two days. Anyone want to wash some motorcycles for me? I almost pulled into a teenager "carwash" until I saw the football team washing the cars. What a ripoff, lure us in with cheerleader and then hit us with linebackers...

Anyone else 5 for 5 this week?

Karen you don't need a bunch of inexperienced linebackers touching your sweet possessions. There's plenty right here in the VRCC world that would be glad to shine your equipment.  Shocked

Halibut that?

Seriously. After work my wife met me and we went out to dinner with friends and then went to watch Sondheim's musical "Assassins" about presidential assassination attempts. Lots of bangs.

I needed to go in to work earlier this morning, because I had to run past one campus to pick up something I had forgotten. Earlier longer ride was worth getting out of bed this morning. If only I hadn't had to do most of the ride into the rising sun. Oh well. I'm here now in my windowless room waiting for the next burst of sunshine and warm air.  Not a bad Monday. This is about my last full week of work, then the schedule goes crazy for two weeks and then I'm out of here.

Commute to ride, ride to commute.

Guess  it's just the adrenalin of the unknown kicking in, Raymond. Had to go to the dentist this morning. My 25 mile commute turned into 93, and the rain held off until I was halfway home. I used the big bike wash in the sky tonight. Will repeat tomorrow until I get  it right!

Finally got to ride into work tonight. For once the weather held back and I did not have to pick up feed/hay/lumber/livestock in the morning so no need for the truck...although I did have to chase calves back in when I went through the gate.

Nice cool ride in, Mid 40s, warm leathers.
No critters on the road at dusk to dodge.
The booming off in the distance sounded more like 155 howitzer rounds from Ft Carson instead of thunder.
Hardly any other vehicles sharing the road with me.
Scooter purring after all the winter upgrades.

I could get used to this.  Smiley

Wow, Cliff, I saw that on the weather, but didn't think it got that far south. Today was my third day of riding in the rain, but tomorrow looks dry and slightly warmer. Weekend looks positively awesome!

I did a visual weather check and when I left the house it was mostly sunny, a bit cold but that doesn't stop me.  The mostly sunny changed real quick,, into all overcast and snowing!  Changed to rain about an hour after I got to work.

Today is soooo much better still cold but the yellow stuff stayed with me all the way in and later on the way home should be SWEET  !!!!!!

Six for six this week. I generally ride to work unless there's snow or ice on the road, but the last six months I ended up with two not-quite-ready-to-ride bikes in the drive, partly due to procrastination and partly do to the big snows this winter. Back up now though and back on the road. I'd forgotten how good it feels.  cooldude

Only time I was able to ride to work this week. Almost 60 degrees F, bright, sunny day. Should be in the low 80's by the time I leave work tonight, just in time to put her back in the garage for all of the rain and thunderstorms moving into the area tonight and over the weekend.  tickedoff
