i check several times a day.....it just says "announcement soon......counting....blah, blah, blah". It is annoying. I can't imagine what could be taking so long? But i'm sure we'll finally hear something sooner or later.............

you think THIS is maddening. try this............my contract rebid is going on now. our proposal for the rebid was due 5 May. We submitted...along with who knows how many other companies. And now...........we sit and wait for them to announce....who won. Day after day goes by....with NO WORD. Not only will the company be decided by this award....but depending on who wins/how they bid....some of us could lose our jobs ....like if a company low balled the bid....wins...and says we can't keep all those people with our bid. Even if we keep our jobs, if it's  a new company we'll have new bosses, new policies...we'll have to negotiate a salary....benefits....and on and on and on.......

That's IF we even have a job. It's maddening. all we know is they need to decide before 1 June....cause THIS contract ends 31 May! so i'll know something NLT 31 May. Gee......that's great........  

So i'm waiting on two things that have me pullling out my hair. I'd sure like to know IF Susan won AND IF I have a job....and with WHO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    BEFORE I GO TO CHEAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to an internal job interview April 19th.
Waited one week.
Waited another week.
Verbal "You're our guy!" on May 9th, but offer package needs to be put together.
Still waiting for written offer.
Kinda getting tired of waiting.

NOT the same as -Do I have a job?

oh, forgot to say....still NOTHING on either the video contest....or more importantly....my contract..........

i'm leaving for Cheaha in a few hours. I don't expect in my mind to hear anyting on EITHER subject probably till NEXT week...................sadly.............

I think your Dog Food Company's vote deal is a hoax.

They can count votes faster than thi in Florida, and I don't have anything against Florida.     It is a state i like to visit in the Winter, but other than that tou can have my share of it.

I was just thinking the same thing when I saw your comment- we could have screwed this up alot faster down here-

we were talking about this last night over dinner at the Mexican restaurant. the rules say they will contact the winner by registered mail. My daughter....like MANY Vet students ....is NOT at her place in Auburn where she lives when she is going to school. like so many college students, she is home with us for the summer. Translation, her MAIL....goes days without being checked. in fact, she hasn't checked her mail...since she left school the 3rd of May (contest ended 6 May). So....if she won (OR ANY OTHER STUDENT WHO IS AWAY FOR THE SUMMER), any registered mail sent to her (or them)....has gone UNANSWERED.

Bottom  line, whether Susan won or even one of the other 9 finalists....there's a 50/50 chance...they have NOT been able to contact them via the registered mail they claim in the rules they will use. I'm betting THAT...is the delay.

Susan is going over TOMORROW to check her mail. So, it's STILL possible...............she did win. in fact, the longer this goes on....UNTIL SHE CHECKS HER MAIL...the more i wonder if it really could be her. If not, it's another student like her....gone for the summer.
