I was fist pumping all the way across the country with the news of Osama's death, heading for home and enjoying the fact that he's no longer breathing free air (or air of any kind). I heard there might be some folks who don't believe he's gone, I trust the president on this one topic completely. I knew this was the truth on a visceral level before i thought it through logically. there is NO way a president in campaign reelection mode is going to make that statement without being 110% sure of his facts. that is why he waited for the DNA testing. Obama said Osama is dead, end of discussion, case closed.
I had a break with the voices on the right, mr Limbaugh and mr Hannity both focused on the conflicting reports and details of the raid. frankly I could not care less, you can't argue with results osama is dead (fist pump, high five) I hear the questions like 'was he unarmed?' yeah like that would matter faced with a bunch of armed seals. 'what if he was begging for his life?' that would be cool. (actually that's a rather pleasing visual) the reason Osama ended up dead is because he was in the same room with armed navy seals, that's a heart stopper every time. the story has changed because they have tried to make it more palatable for his base they aren't comfortable with their guy calling out a hit on Osama. that sounds like something 'W' would do, they don't view Obama as a wild eyed cowboy going in guns a blazin'. I'm good though I don't care as long as Osama is dead (fist pump high five)
the 'death pic' yeah I'd like to see it, no I don't need it for confirmation. I will call it what it is I would like to do the tacky end zone dance and gloat for a week or two. I'd blow it up to poster size and hang it up in the man cave. keep a wallet sized one to show off with pictures of the kids. "that's little billie and that's danielle she's going to be 12 next month and that's dead Osama". we deserve to see it we pay for the seals salaries, training, gear, camera, film, and most importantly the 2 bullets (rule number 2; double tap) but fear not it's in the capital building somewhere it'll be leaked eventually. no it's not going to put a bigger target on our military, they want us all dead how could we possibly make it worse by releasing a photo? we just took out the figure head if not part time leader, I think they might be as upset as they are going to get
the one thing I'm curious about? they took a DNA sample off the corpse ( I'm sure it was a navy corpseman,
insider conservative joke, don't ask) to match against a DNA sample on hand. where did we get the sample we already have? did we ask the nice terrorists to line up for cheek swabs? I'm not trying to start a conspiracy theory, I'm just curious.
