Funny drag race.

My friend and I were running our 1/5 scale radio controlled cars in a vacant lot close to my home.
A guy in a Mustang 5.0 showed up and wanted to drag race my friend's r/c car.
Here is the result.  The r/c car is an hpi baja 5b running a 29.5 cc engine with tuned pipe.

Some one does not understand power to weight ratio....and probably can only tell time if it's digital !

you can do things with an RC that are completely impossible with any real vehicle.  like flying a helicoptor upside down, or an RC airplane hovering in one spot.

I have to give props to the mustang guy.  He knew he was gonna get spanked on a short run like that.  You can't really compete with a vehicle that is literally all engine.  4 hp or so, 27 pounds.
Top speed is 51 mph for that day.  Engine has 5 tanks through it, so it's probably going to be faster as it breaks in.  Max rpm at the end of the run was 17,200 rpm (on board memory tach).
The day was a lot of fun, that's for sure.
These 1/5 scalers are more fun than any other r/c I have ever owned.

I think the rc car was a scale CHEVY......lol That would explain a lot.
