Grab hold of something, Daniel.  Perhaps not the Dragon's grips this time around.   Wink

At a second glance, hold on everyone from Pat and Deb to the Kansas line.   Shocked

I'm sitting in the "red" area in Arlington right now, no wind, piddling amount of rain.   Not much to worry about.  Thank goodness.

Same here, about 100 miles SE of you.

But something is looking promising today, got my fingers crossed.

Strange how the folks around the Mississippi and east are having tremendous flooding problems and we are watering yards everyday just to keep the grass from dying.  And water rationing by the city is just around the corner.

And it's not even Summer!!!

Getting hammered here now!  You know it's been a long time since it's rained when the principal of the high school comes on the speaker to tell the kids that what's happening outside is called a thunderstorm... and they are going to hold 4th period until it's "safe" for students to be in the hallways.

No kidding!  This just happened...

Getting hammered here now!

That's great for ya'll!

I just looked at the intelicast and it looks like we're about to get it too.

Hope this don't jinx it.  Seems like when there is a front coming through from the NW it tends to fizz out before it gets this far down.  Maybe too much hot air in this part of Texas!! (and I'm not talking about from the gulf)

This front looks like it will make it though, fingers crossed!

I got ~6 drops on my faceshield yesterday evening.  It was just enough to make me take the time to cover my seat and electronics before parking her outside for ~1 hr.  Everything was bone dry when I went back out.

Got hammered in Galveston for about 30 minutes!  Smiley

Called my wife and she said we only had sprinkles at home in Texas City, 9 miles away as the seagull flies.  tickedoff

We got a 6 inch rain!!!!!!!!!!!  I measured the distance between the rain drops.... and it was about 6 inches....
Real dry here,..... dang near got the lawn mower front wheels stuck in a crack in the ground!!!!.
We got 9/100's of an inch!!!!!! WooHooooo..... but that's better than a poke in the eye with a stick!!!!
It will take 4inches ...just ta fill the cracks.... before we get runoff for the pond.....

I am claiming total responsibility for the rain we had Thursday...  for the last few days before that it had looked very threatening every morning.  While other riders where I work drove their cages in most of last week... I continued to ride... everyday... taunting the rainclouds by making rude finger gestures at them as I roared up and down Hwy 123.

"Ha, ha... can't rain on me you silly rain clouds.... now go away before I taunt you a second tyme!"

Guess they finally got tired of it and opened up!

On a different note... isn't this weekend lovely?

Well then, Thanks a lot for the rain.
We had 1.75" which was well needed and appreciated.

Could you keep up with the taunting, like every other week maybe??
And during the week please, not on the W/Es cause like you said it was a gorgeous W/E.  Too bad I was too busy with family stuff to enjoy a ride like everybody else, evidently, cause there were many bikes out.

Love to, unfortunatley lately I've been having alot of family issues that keep me off the bike.

Wanted go bad this w/e. After the rain you got for us it was beautiful!!

Only thing I could muster was cranking the bike up in the shop and letting it run for about 15 minutes.

Hopefully things will settle down for me and we can get together, at least for a beer or two.

I had my hopes up -- radar looked good, a friend about 5 miles away said he got good rain.  I got home from Cheaha this afternoon, and checked my rain gauge - less than a quarter inch.

Better than nothing.
