I just picked up my dream bike of 10 years yesterday.  '99 Valkyrie, cream/gold.  13K miles.

I am a very happy man.  Smiley

Looking forward to getting to know her a little better.

Lol, I can't afford chrome, I have to pay for the mustang seats and backrest I bought last night.  Can't have a stock seat and studded bags, can I?  That's just wrong...

For now, I need to strip a few parts off my 'zuki and move them over if they fit.  Head/tail light modulators, zumo mount, etc.

If your 'zuki uses a single H-4 headlight and 1157 brake light bulbs, your modulators should fit.  No problem.  Zumo.  Depends on how it mounts.  If it is just a handlebar clamp it's again a no brainer.

Zumo is a direct transfer, no problem.  I just need to figure out where I want to run the wires.

I tried to take the headlight apart tonight, got the screws at 4 and 8 out, but it would not budge.  Doing something wrong, or just tight?  I didn't want to force it.  That, and I wanted to ride and not wrench.

Haven't even looked at the taillight yet. **edit** done.  10 minute job.  Smiley

Headlight shell has a small lip the hooks into a slot in the inside of the rim.  After removing the two screws rotate the bottom of the rim forward and up and it should unhook.

Welcome to the support group.

Yup.  I switched out the headlight with a spare Silverstar that I had, and put the old modulator in from the old bike about 15 minutes, including removing and adding the windshield on the Valk.

Much brighter and I have the "wooo wooo Look at Me" light working now.

Amazing at how much better fit and finish the Valk has over my C50.  The headlamp just pops off once the screws are off.
