A co-worker has a KLR with the stock seat that is splitting at the seams.....he said it is an uncomfortable seat anyways and was wondering what would be the best seat to replace it with?....he told me it was uncomfortable after about 30 mins(sounds like MOST stock seats)...not sure how much he rides it after work, but he rides it in to work most days......I told him I knew of a few guys with KLR's and would ask what the majority use.....Thanks guys.... cooldude

A new model KLR seat fits the older style and is more comfortable.

I tried the Kawasaki seat relief of the Gel persuasion. Terrible, excercise in pain.

The new stock seat for 2008 and up are better.

Paul uses a ATV Pad that he says is better.

I use the Corbin wider flatter version and it is real good For Me.

Coot uses the Sargent Brand and he says it is good.

Stay away from the Gel Version, that was a wasted 125 bucks and I had to install it on the seat pan myself.

How are you doing Stanley?

Unfortunately, I am still on the stock seat for now.  I was kinda thinking of a day long seat at some point.

I have the Walmart ATV seat pad on my 98 KLR. 30.00 dollars, money well spent. I rode mine to work last night, 80 mile round trip, no problem. I like it. It was on my KLR when I went to Death Valley two years ago. Lotsa miles, all good.

Hey Steamer.......... I've never had a KLR but a friend of mine did, he had the Day Long seat and said that he could ride it anywhere.

He even talked about touring Alaska with it.

If you click on the KLR pic it opens up with a much better view.
